Dear traveller;

Wayak is happy to announce that after the swine flu alert, Mexico is up and running. Having such a strong reaction from the government to prevent the swine flu expand to a lot of people the infected cases is less than the 0.01% from the total Mexican population and nowadays there are no more new cases. The alert is over and everybody is back to normality and ready to recover our normal lives.

After having a very tough month of May the whole tourism industry is reactivating the tourism giving great discounts and packages.

There may be no better time to come and travel around Mexico. Wayak is running and will be operating the summer season as planned. We are announcing new day tours in Oaxaca and Cancun. We are also adding the air shuttle from Oaxaca to Pto Escondido beginning in June 15th giving the advantage of being in less than 40 minutes on the beach. Wayak is running the entire route (except Oaxaca to San Cristobal 1st class night bus) with our private mini bus fleet giving us a perfect control and a better service to our customers.

Best time to travel around Mexico

There may be no better time to visit Mexico than now. It’s been about a month since swine flu scares sent tourists fleeing, but with new cases of the H1N1 virus on the wane, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lifted its ban on nonessential travel to Mexico on May 15. Museums, restaurants and historic sites are largely back in business. And resorts from Los Cabos to Cancún, which saw occupancy plummet by more than 50 percent at the end of April and the beginning of May, are beckoning with discounts of up to 70 percent.
